This contract serves as the THE CONSTITUTION of the nation, United [[Vinland]]. Its contents being the purpose, structure, design, and permanence that will ensure the spirit that founded this country will have the system necessary to live up to its highest potential.

First, the purpose. No Gods, no kings, United Vinland will be ruled by the people. This contract will guarantee every citizen of United Vinland has the same basic rights no matter their station nor their beliefs. At the same time, this contract also beholds them to their obligations as rulers of their own destiny. Out of liberty, breeds responsibility.

Next, the structure of the consitution. Our system is setup bicamerally. Each state lend its credibility and respectability to the nation’s rules and laws, and in turn the nation respects the sovereignty and prosperity of each state.

For interstate activity, in order to have a clear understanding of each participant’s responsibilities and obligations, a division of government, the contract branch, will be created to handle all interstate affairs. This contract branch is tasked with witnessing negotiations and providing neutral methods of recourse when requested.

In cases of disagreement or breaking of contracts, a Court Supreme shall hear protests and thus issue a ruling on the matter. The Court Supreme’s verdict shall be final.

For military affairs, each realm must levy an equal amount of men for the Vinland Military. By levying the same number, this allows any smaller realms to be on equal footing in regards to trained fighting men.

The President will serve as the head of state for all foreign affairs. In addition to this, during times of war, they will also given the title of Chief General and will be responsible for leading the war crusade. There shall also be a Vice President as chosen by the President, and will act as President in case the latter is indisposed. The President shall choose his own successor, and be recognized as such from all heads of state. The President can only be chosen through a majority opinion of the states.

Until United Vinland ceases to be, this constitution shall serve as the underlying contract of the land. It may be altered via amendments. Any amendments require a supermajority of at least 75% of the present voting members to meet ratification.
