Founding and Colonial Era
Jullicut was the 5th colony established in Vinland. Its name was a fusion of the former wife of Deus Ultima who was resigned to the colony, Julie Cutty. A lover of the sea, Julie Cutty built her castle on the shores of the Swirling Ocean. The city of Portsmouth was developed around the castle, and the start of the import and export trade with the Antillean continent soon came to dominate the colony's economic activity.
Why did they rebel? Sam Baharme and the other captains were pissed about paying harbor tolls to Antilles for their ships in Portsmouth’s harbors. This stretched into them getting nickel and dimed. Sam Barhame then escalated things violently. Evidentially dies to Cambria Unchanged when he arrived on shore to quell the rebellion.
