Summary

As the eccentric leader of the wildest state, the only limit to Baron Methuselah Graham's chaotic rule is on Fyorina's border. Short and pudgy with brown hair shaped like a bowl and a blue cape even longer than his body, the Baron doesn't give the appearance of a war hero, but he was instrumental in creating the surprise tactics that allowed the colonial Vinland militia to overwhelm the forces of Deus Ultima.

Publicly, the Baron claims that he is a descendent of the mythical native Fyorinians who preceded the arrival of the Antilleans. These natives worshipped a God named Fyorina who is believed to be manifested through a living person, and the Baron claims to be that person. Outside of Fyorina, most Vinlanders believe that he was just some drunk Georginian who was in Fyorina to escape the Georginian Governor, and ended up being apprehended and locked up in the Castle DeBaree, Colonial Vinland's main prison ruled by the demigod Warden Oranje.

Colonial Vinland and Imprisonment

Despite his wild claims of Godhood, not much is known about the Baron prior to his imprisonment in Castle DeBaree. Any official record was never uncovered, and the Baron claims that he was locked him up because he was a threat to Deus Ultima.

He and Warden Oranje developed a deep and intense rivalry based on the demigod's desire to convert him to a disciple of the Ultima Church while the Baron refused to acknowledge the supremacy of Deus Ultima. The sessions he spent with Warden Oranje were believed to have a tremendous effect on the Baron's psyche as the other prisoners describe him as slowly growing more and more eccentric after each session. It was during these sessions with Warden Oranje that he took on the title of Baron after Warden Oranje accused of not caring about anything. Additionally, it is common thought that the Baron's signature blue cape originated from the tapestry in each prisoner's cell which depicted the various levels of Ultima Hell.

His charisma matched with his rivalry with Warden Oranje earned him the respect of many of the other prisoners within Castle DeBaree, and this respect carried forward in his escape from the castle prison.

War of Revolutions

Upon General Harmen's march to Fyorina to free the political prisoners held in Castle DeBaree, Warden Oranje and the Blessed met the general outside the castle entrance. Unbeknownst to both General Harmen and Warden Oranje, the Baron and his imprisoned followers saw the chance for their escape, and as the two forces began their clash, the Baron made his move. They overwhelmed the forces of Deus Ultima who were still inside the castle, and burst forth from the castle just as Warden Oranje had the upper hand on General Harmen. Rather than flee, the Baron and his loyal followers joined the fight on the side of General Harmen. The final killing blow on the demigod came from the Baron himself.

The Baron and General Harmen became fast friends, much to surprise of pretty much everyone. Together, they marched north to take on the rampaging Cambria Unchained. During their travels, the Baron developed a type of surprise warfare where he utilized unconventional means of attack to pick off small groups of Deus Ultima's forces without the larger formal battles where the Vinland forces were typically at a disadvantage.

United Vinland

Upon Romeo the Rational's surrender, the Baron was the first signatory of the Vinland Constitution as he wanted to show his dedication to the future President Harmen. He claimed rule over Fyorina, a claim that went without objection from the other leaders as well as the natives of Fyorina, the people he referred to as his Blues.

In year 10 AD, he chose to run for the President of Vinland, much to the horror of the other nine states.
