Apella

Summary

The island state of Apella was the 6th established colony of Vinland. It is located in the northern part of the Bay of Liberty. It has the preeminent theaters, galleries, and concert halls, and serves as the biggest entertainment hub for United Vinland. Its leader is the mysterious Archon, but all management of the state is controlled through the Esquires, the Archon's personal lawyers.

Colonial Era

Apella was established as a colony following Deus Ultima's sixth divorce to the eccentric Apella Divine.

A true democracy where everyone rules. Bills are made into law by pro and opposing forces and whoever brings in the highest revenue with a fixed price of entry gets their bill won. Primarily a home of artists so these events carry a lot of people. A mafia state

Potential Story So no one knows who the true leader is, and upon its founding, these lawyers banded together on the off chance the lie would work that they were chosen to represent the state, and since then they’ve effectively been running things. Once Myan starts becoming gaslight central, they can slowly morph from the lawyers representing the leader into the leaders. It would be a gradual process which could show the power of propaganda over time. (Or just have demint be the leader)
