Title: Captain

Summary

Captain Jane Baharme is the leader of the state of Jullicut. She is a sleek, soft-spoken woman with light skin, brown hair, and is commonly seen wearing a bicorn that obscures her eyes. The widow of fiery revolutionary Sam "The Torch" Baharme, she fought alongside her husband in Jullicut's rebellion, and following his death, took sole command of Jullicut's rebels.

She leads the state from Hot Water, her personal ship built from the remnants of the former Castle Jullicut. She is seen as fair, yet tough leader who treats all residents in Jullicut as equals as long as they are not a burden to the state.

Early Life, Jullicut's Rebellion, and the War of Revolutions

Having run away from her abusive family. Jane disguised herself as a man and found work as a crewmate upon one of Clerks and Co's ships. She was discovered as a woman by Sam Baharme, and her work effort and perseverance convinced her shipmates to accept her as their own. Over time, she was romantically linked with Sam, albeit interspersed with periods of violence between the two lovers. Despite their on and off strife, the two were married at sea.

Increased import and export duties angered Jullicut's sailors, and Jane joined Sam as he began to lead local protests in Portsmouth. Although Sam Baharme is given credit for orchestrating, the Wine Bath, Jullicut's biggest protest where a ship's worth of wine that was dumped, was believed to be an idea from Jane.

Once the War of Revolutions kicked off, Jane, her husband, and their followers began a violent campaign against anyone associated with Deus Ultima. Although many of the God Kings followers switched sides, Jullicut's Governor Rogan vowed to remain loyal to Deus Ultima. The Jullicutters killed him, and further emphasize their supremacy, they tore down Castle Jullicut and Sam wanted to use the castle's parts for his own ship.

At sea, Jane joined Sam and the other sailors as they enacted a blockade to prevent any of Deus Ultima's forces from entering Vinland. This led to a fierce sea battle where Deus Ultima's forces pushed through while a large portion of Jullicut's ships were destroyed and Sam Baharme died.

Jane survived and she was chosen by the other captains to be their new leader. It was at this time that the ship built from Castle Jullicut was completed, and so she named it Hot Water after her temperamental husband. With the news that another armada of Deus Ultima's forces were on the way, Jane set out with Hot Water to fight them in the sea once more, but this time Hot Water's superior size and firepower completely obliterated Deus Ultima's invading forces.

Upon the return of the influential Jullicut businessman Ari Clerks from his imprisonment in Fyorina, he recognized Jane Baharme as the new leader of Jullicut, and in return she agreed to allow for a portion of Jullicut to become the state of Camlann and for her ratification of the Vinland Constitution.

United Vinland

Through slow and steady means, Chief Ajax Killian slowly integrated Valhalmont into United Vinland. He opened up trade with the other states, although the bulk of Valhalmont's production is still contained in the state. He also banned firearms in the state as he viewed them as making the men of Valhalmont weak fighters and one of the biggest reasons why the Regenia Invasion failed. At the start of his rule, he was challenged several times to Royal Battles, but his supporters greatly outnumbered any challengers and each Royal Battle was handedly won.

He was eventually revealed to have a son, Caleb. The boy is a constant presence around his father, and although Ajax is tough on his son, he does not put him through the same hardships that Ajax experienced as a youth.
