Summary

One of the preeminent Land Lords in all Regina, Aaron Carls owns large swaths of land in Regenia's Purple Mountains as well as several large estates in the surrounding area of the capital of Regenia, Richland. Within his land in the Purple Mountains, he built and runs the Underground City of Carlstown, the main source of ore mining for all of United Vinland.

He is middle-aged and is described to be as broad and thick as a boulder.

Prewar Years

It is unknown how Aaron Carls first met Camlann's Executive Leader, Art Penn, but before Camlann was even a state, Carls was the supplier of ore to Penn Company. Over time this relationship grew reciprocal as Penn Company sent specialized drills which allowed Carls to drill deeper and farther into the earth, thereby increasing the ore sent to Penn Company.

Post-War of Revolutions

Following the War of Revolutions, Regenia sold the land claimed by Deus Ultima, and Aaron Carls used the opportunity to buy most of the land that made up the interior of the Purple Mountains. He then expanded upon his land by establishing the Underground City of Carlstown, a sprawling series of tunnels and buildings built beneath the earth where most of the Western Reginians settled following the war.

United Vinland

After the Vinland Constitution was ratified, and United Vinland was officially formed, Carls used his position as one of the state's major Land Lords to increase his influence in the state. He was frequently accused of abusing the westerners who lived and worked within his underground city, the results of which came to a head in 10 AD as the westerners stopped their ore mining, derailed outgoing trains, and revolted against his rule.
