Nathanial McCann
Summary
Nathanial McCann was the most famous actor of the Vinland colonies. He was renowned for his superior auditory projection combined with an unparalleled sense of emotion. In the lead up to the War of Revolutions, he was the first person to stop performing which led to the rebellion known as Apella's Silence.
Following Apella's Silence, he joined the Lafayette Harmen and the Colonial Vinland Military on their march north to stop Cambria Unchained's rampage. Upon the ratification of the Vinland Constitution and the creation of United Vinland, he left Apella and stopped being an actor, and took up the role of the Voice of the President for President Harmen.
Colonial Vinland
During Vinland's Colonial Era, Nathanial was perhaps the most famous Apellian in all of the Thirteen Colonies. In addition to his constant presence on the stages in Apella, he was also an avid member of several touring groups who routinely performed outside of Apella. He was Cambria Unchained's favorite actor as the demigod rarely missed one of Nathanial's performances.
Apella's Silence and the War of Revolutions
Following the banning of the play, Deus Man, and the censorship of the Archon's articles in The Thespian, Nathanial chose to protest this censorship by backing out of all of his performances. Nathanial's status combined with the fact he was the first to back out of the performance's led to a cascading effect in Apella as other actors, artists, and musicians quickly canceled their own performances, an event known as Apella's Silence.
After the death of Governor Parch at the hands of the Archon, Nathanial joined the Lafayette Harmen and the Colonial Vinland Military as they marched north to fight Cambria Unchained. Although Nathanial saw very limited fighting, he played a crucial role in calling out General Harmen's orders to the rest of the troops.
Upon the defeat of Cambria Unchained, he continued with the Colonial Vinland Military as they marched on the Silversun. He stood alongside General Harmen for Romeo the Rational's surrender, and was the person who announced Colonial Vinland's victory as Romeo cast a sky-high explosion of formal surrender for all of the colonies to see.
United Vinland
Following the war, Nathanial returned to Apella, but cut back on his stage performances. Due to his role outside the stage during the lead-up as well as the actual War of Revolutions, Nathanial did not have it in him to continue to be an actor. Upon Valhalmont invading Regenia, and General Harmen's request for help to quell the invasion, Nathanial joined in the fight once again where his skills for projection and relaying orders was crucial for victory. After Valhalmont's defeat and the subsequent ratification of the Vinland Constitution, the now President Harmen offered Nathanial a new role, the Voice of the President. It was this role that enshrined Nathanial as the public face of the Presidency,
