Methuselah Graham
State: Fyorina
Role: Leader

Summary

As the eccentric leader of the wildest state, the only limits of Baron Methuselah Graham's chaotic rule are on Fyorina's borders. Short and pudgy with brown hair shaped like a bowl and a blue cape even longer than his body, the Baron doesn't give the appearance of a war hero, but he was instrumental in creating the surprise tactics that allowed the colonial Vinland militia to overwhelm the forces of Deus Ultima.

Publicly, the Baron claims that he is a descendent of the mythical native Fyorinians who preceded the arrival of the Antilleans. These natives worshipped a God named Fyorina who is believed to be manifested through a living person, and the Baron claims to be that person. Outside of Fyorina, most Vinlanders believe that he was just some drunk Georginian who was in Fyorina to escape the Georginian Governor, and ended up being apprehended and locked up in the Castle DeBaree, Colonial Vinland's main prison ruled by the demigod Warden Oranje.

Colonial Vinland

Despite his wild claims of Godhood, not much is known about the Baron prior to his arrest and imprisonment during Vinland's Colonial Era, He claims the antilleans locked him up and they put them with the worst part of the worst because they knew how dangerous he was. That story gave him cachet among the prisoners and he orchestrated a breakout while the antilleans were changing labor just because it’s so goddamn hot there. They don’t stay around that long  so he does that and they coordinate to break out when the labor it’s lowest

But the real story is that a whole bunch of drunk Georgians just wandered down there before Fyorina was an established colony,

War of Revolutions

and just did their shit there with Georgina’s rules. The Baron was picked up as some common criminal, and the warden of the jail

United Vinland

is like a “ Spanish redeeming governor” who thinks the barren can be rehabilitated just like a barbarian becoming a christian. While imprisoned, he is put through a course of religious indoctrination, which is where he gets the idea for lances torture and also realizes how religion wins over people and thinks he can do it way better. He begins to do that and coordinates all the prisoners for the escape, same way as the other strategy, but in his jail cell is a hanging blue tapestry of Deus Ultima Sins. He looks at it each day he’s imprisoned ande finally he puts it over his head over wears it like a cape because his real strategy taught him that you have to look bad ass to win over followers. Essentially it’s strong man propaganda.
