Martin Keene

From United Vinland

Alongside George Harmen, Matt Graham, Jeffrey Clerks, and Pitt Penn, Martin Keene was the framer who awakened the spiritual side of Vinland before the War of Liberation. He did this with his pamphlet, The Natural Order, and later with his Refusal Thesis.

He was a sharecropper who hated that he did not own the land and had to give the Grand Earl Magus most of his crops. He hated that they wasted their best farmland on growing wine grapes. This anger and fighting back against authority led him to stumble upon Providence.

He ended up marrying the the Governor of Virginia’s Daughter Judy Collingsworth who went against her families wishes because of Martin’s influence. She died in the attack on their estate that Jeremiah saved Mark in. Martin was captured during this attack and subsequently burned on the stake. He smiled as the flames were lit because he knew he won.
