Oldest son of Martin Keene, at age 11, he protected the newborn Mark as the families estate was attacked by High Antillean forces. After the death of his father, he chose to join the war with his fellow friend from CT who sheltered them after the attack, William Moss. The boys started off doing recon before moving into more guerilla warfare and finally, open commanding near the war’s end. This led him to have a distaste for firearms in non-soldier’s hands.

After the war was completed, he was unanimously agreed upon by Virignia’s land owners that he should get the governorship. He was a well respected leader in all the realms and desired to make Vinland more of a federal authority than the loose military and economic coalition it had been formed under.
